Stars in a WhiteWorld..

Shining as Stars

Do everything without complaining or arguing
so that you may become blameless and pure,
children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation,
in which you shine like stars in the universe
as you hold out the word of life.
-Philipians 2:14-16

Whiteworld

Humility

Living for decades
In this evergreen place
Missing the magical awakening of Spring
Lush reds and yellows of Autumn
And the white magnificence—
Of dear Winter

Oh how I longed for a miracle!
That one day, this place
Snow would replace Rain
Displaying Flakes intricately designed
A new white world

Twas this longing
That arouses complaints and dissatisfactions
Of poor Rain
Throughout the decades
Living in this evergreen place

Then one day
Tired and despaired
Came Rain
Go away! — but it wouldn’t
I saw millions of fairies
Shaking Cloud gently
Sending showers of blessings to comfort me
Washing the blemishes Man left
The job is done!
Then Rain went away

For once
I finally saw the true Rain
Silently doing her job
Of cleaning the Earth
Only leaving faint traces of herself
To shine forth the beauty of others

Oh such humility!
Never to glorify herself
Unlike Snow
Who hides the beauty of others under its white coat
Only to boast her abilities

So after living for decades
In this evergreen place
Finally forgetting
The magical awakening of Spring
Lush reds and yellows of Autumn
And the white magnificence of dear Winter
Thank God, for giving me Rain.

found this poem that i wrote long ago.quite childish i suppose.but it meant alot to me.even up till now.for humility is one thing i really have to learn.pride comes before a downfall.
